Our Story

The original Good Springs was built in the summer of 1844 in Robertson County, near Pleasant View, and was dedicated with a sitting of the Cumberland Association on October 24, 1844. The building was a little one room log structure with rough hewn benches. Our forefathers so named us because the original building sat down in the hollow near a good spring from which it received its name. There were no highways near, and the roadways were scarcely travelled only by horseback and wagon. 181 years and four buildings later, God’s goodness continues through the members and ministries of Good Springs Church.
